About OMA & The OMA Media Show
The Outdoor Market Alliance (OMA) is a nonprofit collective of 25 independent sales and marketing agencies representing 200+ brands in the Outdoor and Active Lifestyle markets in the Rockies. OMA’s location offers 32,000 square feet of showroom and community meeting space. The OMA Media Show started in 2022 and has since served 125+ brands and nearly 30 PR agencies in connecting with over 100 media reps from across the outdoor and active lifestyle spaces from niche and mainstream outlets over five events.
The OMA Media Show is for outdoor and active lifestyle journalists, staff writers, and freelancers to get their hands on what will be on store shelves in upcoming seasons. Brands from across the outdoor and active lifestyle spectrum participate, with or without PR representation, as OMA members or not. Thanks to the time invested by the participating PR agencies, the OMA Media Show is a community-driven event. Through collaboration, the agencies continue evolving the show with each iteration to better serve their clients and the media’s needs.

“OMA is the most efficient use of my time to learn about new gear products, get one-on-one time with brands, and plan my editorial calendar for the following year. They make logistics easy and the atmosphere is as calm and and stress-free as a show can be.”
– Liz Thomas, Editor-in-Chief of Treeline Review
Past Show Reactions
“This is the event outdoor media has been waiting for. If you are in or crossover into outdoor pr or media skip all the rest and come to this one.”
– Colin True, Rockfight
“OMA was quick and busy and super useful for our gear content planning. It was more helpful than other bigger gear shows in that it was enough appointments (and time with PRs) to actually learn about gear and see what's new, but not so overwhelming that everything just blends together. And since everyone is there to meet with media, I didn't feel like my time was wasted by brand reps who are more on the buying or production side, but don't have much to do with media. Props on the quality coffee and post-show cocktails.”
– Suzie Dundas, Freelance Editor and Journalist
“The Outdoor Market Alliance and its Denver Media Show are fantastic examples of collaboration, community and innovation within the outdoor industry, bringing valuable additional exposure and business to Colorado’s robust multibillion dollar outdoor recreation economy. We look forward to continued partnership with the OMA and the new Denver Media Show.”
– Conor Hall, Director of CO’s Office of Outdoor Recreation
“The roots of the OMA concept is that we can do more by coming together. While we typically host specialty retail buyers, this week we hosted media from top-tier publications that are looking for stories not only about the gear, but about the people and businesses on this side of the outdoor industry, that they can then pass along to consumers.”
“The community spirit of the outdoor industry has always been really strong. To see other groups in our industry collaborating in this space and within the concept of what we’re creating is exactly as intended, and adds to our excitement of possibilities moving forward.”
– Axel Geittman, Founding Board Member of OMA
